Another beautiful quality in our children is the ability to see things at face value. Now as we get older and see the complications in situations and in life, it's would not always be to our advantage to only see thing's at face value. But nevertheless, there is still something so pure and simple about being able to just be in the moment. Don't worry, my daughter was still asking me every few minutes about if Shabbos was over yet or now, but when I told her it wasn't, she just kept going on with whatever it was she was doing. there was none of that heavy impatience I know I feel when I am waiting for something to start or finish with impatience. None of that angst. And that's how it should be. I hope that I can allow my kids to continue experiencing things in their pure form without tainting them with my own attitudes or feelings. Sure, it's a good thing to help them learn how to perceive things, just as long as we don't get too in the way.
